Job Title: Echo Technician

Location: Syracuse, NY
Duration: 14 Weeks


Shift Details

  • Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (may start as early as 7:00 AM)
  • Schedule: Day shift with rotating weekends and holidays
  • No on-call required
  • Coverage across both inpatient and outpatient settings

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Echo Technician to provide high-quality cardiac ultrasound services across hospital and clinic environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in echocardiography and be capable of performing a wide range of diagnostic cardiac imaging procedures.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform echocardiography studies including 2-D and 3-D imaging
  • Conduct Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) procedures
  • Perform exercise and pharmacologic stress echocardiograms
  • Assist with echocardiography during cardiac procedures in specialized settings
  • Ensure accurate imaging and proper documentation of results
  • Work collaboratively with physicians and clinical teams
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing training opportunities

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in cardiac ultrasound (minimum 6 months)
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through ARDMS
    OR
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
    OR eligibility for certification
  • Current BLS (CPR) certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in a related healthcare field

Required Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge of EKG rhythms and medical terminology
  • Ability to perform echocardiography procedures independently
  • Strong attention to detail and patient care skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
