Schedule: Day Shift | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | 5x8 Schedule
Compensation
Local Pay: $1,800 – $2,100 Weekly
Traveler Pay: $2,200 – $2,600 Weekly
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Echocardiographer to perform high-quality cardiac ultrasound procedures for adult and geriatric patient populations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for acquiring and documenting diagnostic echocardiographic studies while collaborating closely with cardiologists and the healthcare team to support accurate diagnosis and patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic echocardiograms including M-mode, 2-D, pulse Doppler, continuous Doppler, and color Doppler studies
- Conduct contrast echocardiograms and stress echocardiography procedures
- Complete echocardiography worksheets, measurements, and required calculations accurately and efficiently
- Prepare patients for procedures and explain examination processes clearly to reduce anxiety and ensure cooperation
- Assist cardiologists during cardiac imaging procedures as needed
- Assess adult and geriatric patients while considering age-specific physiological and anatomical needs
- Document all procedures and patient information accurately in the medical record
- Operate, clean, and maintain ultrasound equipment according to department standards
- Ensure exam rooms remain organized, stocked, and ready for patient care
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to maintain registry status
- Support training and guidance for students and new staff members as appropriate
- Maintain professional conduct, patient confidentiality, and high standards of patient care
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree required
- Current Echocardiography certification/registry required
- Current AHA BLS certification required
- Minimum of 3 years of Echocardiography experience required
- Strong knowledge of cardiac ultrasound equipment and imaging techniques
- Excellent patient care, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Commitment to continuing education and maintaining current registry status
