At our Echocardiography department our highly trained staff employs state-of-the-art technology that uses sound waves to create moving pictures of our patients hearts that can pinpoint areas of heart muscle that are not contracting well because of poor blood flow or injury from previous injuries. Echocardiography can also detect possible blood clots inside the heart fluid buildup in the pericardium and problems with the aorta as well as identifying heart problems in infants and children. Our Echocardiography department includes specially trained technicians and qualified physicians as part of our award-winning Cardiac Services. As a Certified Echo Technologist you will play a key role in helping the Cardiology department at Straub deliver compassionate cardiac care to our patients and their families by performing noninvasive cardio-vascular studies and electro-cardiographic procedures.
