Job Summary and Qualifications

As an Echo Tech, you’ll play an essential role in guiding patients through critical diagnostic moments by performing high-quality imaging procedures. You’ll have the opportunity to work with advanced echo technology, including assisting with invasive and TEE procedures, while maintaining a steady and efficient workflow. Your role will include:

  • Delivering expert clinical care by performing echo procedures with the highest level of quality, interviewing patients to obtain complete histories, and ensuring the appropriate care of patients across all age groups.

  • Supporting advanced cardiac procedures by assisting physicians with invasive studies, Stress Echoes, and Transesophageal (TEE) procedures, including the high-level disinfection and maintenance of TEE probes.

  • Managing equipment and safety by operating Meditech and Merge systems, ensuring the appropriate cleaning of imaging equipment, and assisting with the ordering of department supplies.

  • Ensuring quality and efficiency by participating in QA and PI programs, maintaining a steady department workflow, and assisting with patient transport when necessary to keep care moving smoothly.

  • Promoting teamwork and professional growth by collaborating with the hospital team and providing guidance and assistance to students during their clinical rotations.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Current ARDMS (AE) and/or CCI certification is required.

  • Graduation from an accredited school of ultrasonography, echocardiography, or radiologic technology is preferred.

  • One year of post-graduate experience is preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively partner with physicians and support a collaborative team environment.
