Echo Ultrasound Tech, Echocardiography, $15,000 Bonus, Bethesda East, FT, 7A-5:30P

Echocardiography technologist understands all aspects of cardiac disease and performs different types of echocardiography testing with accuracy and analytical skills, in accordance with BHSF and IAC standards. The technologist is responsible for the operation of the laboratory equipment, and for performing and communicating results of all types of echocardiography testing to other healthcare providers. The technologist should maintain a high standard of medical ethics at all times and should be self-motivated to increase level of understanding and knowledge of cardiac diseases as well as new procedures and applications as they evolve. The technologist provides clinical and technical resources to staff and students for career development purposes and registry preparedness where applicable. The technologist works with other technical team members and supervisors to develop technical and personal skills through one-on-one specific training and/or through clinical rotations. Estimated pay range for this position is $37.24 - $48.41 / hour depending on experience.

Degrees:

• High School,Cert,GED,Trn,Exper.

Licenses & Certifications:

• Basic Life Support.
• CCI Registered Cardiac Sonographer.
• ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer.
• ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer-Pediatric Echo.
• CCI Registered Phlebology Sonographer.

Additional Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited allied health program, preferably with separate track on cardiovascular ultrasonography.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer RDCS (AE) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer RCS required.
• In addition to the required qualifications, candidate must meet one of the following: a) minimum 2 years of performing or assist in performing advanced echocardiography procedures, including but not limited to Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE), image enhanced echocardiography, stress echocardiography, Intra-Cardiac Echocardiography (ICE), and pre-, intra-, and post- cardiac surgeries and structural heart procedures, or b) echocardiography registry credentialed in pediatric disease RDCS (PE) or congenital diseases RCCS by ARDMS or CCI required per entity/department standard.
