Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $38-42 per hour
Hours: Monday-Friday
Responsibilities:
- Perform echocardiograms (adult transthoracic and stress echocardiograms) according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Operate ultrasound and diagnostic imaging equipment safely and effectively.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain processes, and ensure patient comfort throughout.
- Record and analyze test results for review by the cardiologist.
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records within the EMR system.
- Ensure imaging equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and in compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and medical staff to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Assist with other diagnostic or clinical tasks as assigned within scope of practice.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Echocardiography/Ultrasound Technology program.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in a cardiology setting required.
- Registered or registry-eligible with ARDMS or CCI preferred.
- Proficiency in performing and interpreting echocardiographic studies.
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first mindset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
