We are seeking an experienced Echocardiogram Technologist to provide onsite cardiac imaging services at a federal medical facility in Philadelphia, PA. The Echo Technologist will perform routine and emergency echocardiographic procedures for inpatient and outpatient populations and work independently within a Cardiology department.
Responsibilities
Perform routine and emergency echocardiograms
Perform 2D, 3D, M-mode, color-flow and spectral Doppler imaging
Perform contrast and bubble studies and stress echocardiograms
Assist with transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)
Obtain diagnostic-quality cardiac images and measurements
Recognize abnormal findings and communicate pertinent information to physicians
Adjust imaging techniques and equipment based on patient condition and clinical needs
Manage both inpatient requests and scheduled outpatient examinations
Troubleshoot echocardiography equipment and imaging/PACS transmission issues
Provide professional, compassionate patient care
These duties reflect the clinical scop, including independent routine ECHO work, advanced Doppler imaging, contrast/bubble and stress studies, and assistance with TEE procedures.
