The Technologist, under the direction of a Cardiologist, performs echocardiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision as well as other duties as assigned. This requires independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to apply non-ionizing high frequency ultrasonic waves for a cardiographic diagnosis, whether scheduled or emergent. He/she will participate in the clinical activities, including call, within the imaging areas of Echocardiography, Surgery, Mobile Unit, and Nursing Units.
Required Qualifications:
Coursework/Training and must have successfully completed a formal training program or equivalent in Echocardiography, and demonstrate ability to complete competency in Echocardiography.
Within 1 year of hire: National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or
Within 1 year of hire: National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International
Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications:
6 months of experience

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has completed formal training in echocardiography and is able to demonstrate competency in performing echocardiographic studies. They hold current AHA BLS certification upon hire and are committed to obtaining national certification—either RDCS through ARDMS or a cardiovascular certification through CCI—within one year of hire. This individual is detail‑oriented, patient‑focused, and dedicated to delivering accurate, high‑quality diagnostic cardiac imaging.
