This position is eligible for a Sign-On Bonus of up to $10,000 with a 2-year commitment
Responsibilities:
- Explain procedures and provide clear patient instructions to ensure comfort, understanding, and cooperation throughout the exam.
- Verify patient identity, review medical history, and assess physician orders to ensure accurate and appropriate testing.
- Document patient information and clinical findings accurately within the electronic medical record.
- Operate ultrasound equipment and apply advanced scanning techniques to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Perform transthoracic, transesophageal, stress, contrast, and bubble echocardiography studies in accordance with established protocols.
- Obtain and analyze M-Mode, 2D, Doppler, and Color Flow Doppler images while adhering to industry standards.
- Ensure exams are completed efficiently, properly coded, documented, and processed for storage and billing.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to support exceptional patient care.
- Assist physicians with invasive procedures and maintain compliance with universal protocol and safety standards.
- Independently manage assigned responsibilities, including off-shift, on-call, and satellite facility coverage as needed.
Schedule: This position will work rotating days Sunday-Saturday. The shifts will be between 2-4, 8-hour shifts (7AM-3:30PM, 7:45AM-4:15PM, 9:30AM-6PM. This position requires you to work on-call for nights and holidays. May be subject to work other days/shifts based on hospital needs.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- Completion of formal training in an Ultrasound program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP required.
- RDCS, RCS or RDMS registered or registry eligible preferred.
- Completion of Physics portion of registry preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR
