Your future role at a glance:

Location: Pensacola, FL 

Facility: Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola 

Department: Electrocardiography EKG 

Schedule: Day Shift | Full-time 

How you'll make an impact in this role:
  • Perform diagnostic procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics, conducting both routine and complex studies in accordance with accepted protocols.
  • Operate imaging equipment by setting up, adjusting, and manually maneuvering transducers, while accurately positioning patients and selecting technical parameters.

  • Ensure clinical quality by recognizing significant structures, pathology, and artifacts, and submitting high-quality images and documentation to PACS promptly.

  • Maintain safety and compliance by implementing safety standards, performing quality control, and ensuring all activities meet regulatory agency requirements.

  • Manage department environment by assisting in the maintenance of clean, safe, and orderly procedure rooms, storage areas, and other departmental facilities

What minimum qualifications you'll need:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • One or more of the following required:
    • Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Cardiac Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
    • Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Sonography Tech specializing in Cardiac credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing
      International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's
    degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
What additional requirements you'll need:
  • Experience with Cardiac Echocardiography, Structural Heart support, Peripheral Vascular studies, Pediatrics.
