Responsibilities
- Observe company safety rules and regulations.
- Set-up and operate electro-chemical machines to cut metal work pieces to specifications.
- Examine operation sheets and plan the operation of machines for ECM processes.
- Dress electrodes and ensure they meet standard practices and part requirements.
- Position and secure work pieces using clamps, vices, or holding fixtures.
- Adjust machine settings such as voltage, current, and electrode feed rate.
- Inspect work pieces visually and with measuring instruments for conformance.
- Use electronic documenting systems to update the status of parts and record quality information.
- Train and assist other operators as required.
- Maintain tools and measuring instruments supplied by the company.
- Report unusual problems or conditions to the manager.
- Perform production, quality, and machine troubleshooting.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Background in machine operation, assembly, or equipment maintenance.
- Comfortable working with tools and following manufacturing work instructions.
- U.S. Persons only due to technical data export restrictions.
- Ability to lift/push/pull at least 50 pounds.
- Willingness to wear personal protective equipment.
- Ability to work overtime, including occasional weekend shifts.
Preferences
- Shop math skills.
- Previous experience using precision measuring tools.
- Ability to work with computerized shop floor tools.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Demonstrates a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and self-motivation.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
