The ideal candidate is a highly organized, detail-oriented operator who is comfortable moving between site updates, campaign execution, quality assurance, reporting, and cross-functional coordination in a fast-paced, creative environment.

Location: Malbon HQ is based in Santa Monica, CA. We are currently operating from a hybrid work schedule of 3 days a week in-office. This role is not eligible for remote or relocation.

What You’ll Do

Site Operations & Product Launches

  • Execute day-to-day updates in Shopify, including product and variant setup, pricing, imagery, descriptions, tags, collections, metafields, SEO fields, navigation, landing pages, and promotional content
  • Support launches, collaborations, campaigns, and promotions from setup through go-live, ensuring all site elements are accurate, complete, and on time
  • Maintain collection merchandising, categorization, sorting, filters, badges, redirects, and product availability to improve discoverability and conversion
  • Conduct QA across desktop and mobile, resolve straightforward issues, and escalate bugs or platform problems to the appropriate partner
  • Document processes, launch checklists, promotional setup requirements, and recurring site-maintenance workflows

Email & SMS Campaign Execution

  • Setup, QA, schedule, and deploy email and SMS campaigns based on the marketing calendar and approved briefs
  • Validate copy, imagery, links, products, promotional details, parameters, audience segments, suppression rules, timing, and mobile rendering before launch
  • Support automated lifecycle communications, including welcome, browse and cart abandonment, back-in-stock, post-purchase, and win-back programs
  • Ensure messaging aligns with brand priorities, and the onsite customer experience
  • Assist with audience segmentation, personalization, test setup, and basic troubleshooting within email and SMS platforms

QA, Reporting & Optimization

  • Prepare and maintain recurring reporting across conversion rate, average order value, product/collection performance, engagement, revenue, trends, and other key metrics
  • Support A/B testing across site experiences and CRM campaigns
  • Review analytics, customer feedback, session recordings, and site behavior to identify errors, friction points, and opportunities for improvement
  • Maintain centralized logs for tests, site issues, campaign learnings, and recurring customer pain points

Cross-functional Coordination & Process Management

  • Manage launch checklists, campaign timelines, asset trackers, and project tasks to keep deliverables moving from brief through deployment
  • Follow up with cross-functional partners to ensure product information, creative assets, copy, approvals, and inventory inputs are delivered on time
  • Maintain documentation for Shopify standards, CRM deployment processes, QA checklists, naming conventions, and recurring workflows
  • Support platform and process improvements that reduce manual work, improve accuracy, and strengthen the customer experience
  • Stay current on ecommerce, CRM, and digital retail best practices, bringing forward relevant competitive examples and ideas

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Ecommerce, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in ecommerce operations, site merchandising, CRM, email/SMS marketing, or digital marketing, ideally within fashion, apparel, lifestyle, or DTC retail
  • Familiarity with ecommerce analytics and reporting tools, including Shopify Analytics, Google Analytics, Excel, or Google Sheets
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong QA instincts, with the ability to catch errors before they reach the customer
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple deadlines, campaigns, and launches without losing accuracy or follow-through

  • Technical curiosity and comfort learning new platforms, troubleshooting issues, and working within data-driven workflows
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, with the ability to organize data, pull reports, and identify trends
  • Customer-first mindset with a strong visual eye for brand consistency, merchandising, and intuitive site experience
  • Proactive, accountable, flexible, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth, creative environment
