LDH Regional Map

Lead and inspire teams that deliver critical Economic Stability services to communities across Louisiana. This executive leadership role provides the opportunity to oversee regional operations, guide workforce development, drive strategic initiatives, and collaborate with agency leadership to strengthen service delivery and improve outcomes for individuals and families throughout regions.

Minimum Qualifications

Four years of the required experience for the following minimum qualifications must have been at the supervisory level or above in Child Support Enforcement, Child Welfare, or Economic Stability programs:

Ten years of social services experience; OR

Six years of full-time experience in any field plus seven years of social services experience; OR

A bachelors degree plus seven years of social services experience; OR

An advanced degree in a social sciences field, business, public, or health administration, or a Juris Doctorate plus six years of social services experience.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:

Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:

  • Direct and oversee Economic Stability operations to ensure the effective delivery of services and achievement of agency goals.
  • Provide leadership, supervision, and performance management to regional Area Directors, fostering a high-performing workforce and ensuring consistent application of policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans, performance improvement initiatives, and operational goals to enhance service delivery, program effectiveness, and organizational performance.
  • Monitor regional program operations, evaluate quality assurance and performance metrics, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to improve outcomes and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee regional human resources functions, including workforce planning, hiring, performance management, employee development, discipline, and staff engagement.
  • Manage regional budgets, funding allocations, and resource planning to ensure effective fiscal stewardship and the efficient use of state and federal resources.
  • Build and maintain collaborative partnerships with agency leadership, community organizations, advisory groups, judicial partners, and other stakeholders to support program implementation and advance Economic Stability initiatives.
