Job Title: Department of Economics Student Worker

JOB SUMMARY
The student worker position assists the Departments of Economics with a variety of tasks. No two days are the same, and there are opportunities to learn new skills within the required tasks that are transferrable to any career after graduation. This position is 6 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- General administrative duties including but not limited to assisting with collecting and distributing mail, purchasing supplies, organizing and cleaning department spaces, and others as needed.
- Assist department chair with short term projects including social media posts, file audits, data and information collection, outreach to internal/external parties, tasks related to planning for our 100-year anniversary dinner, and more.
- Assist the department coordinator with various projects including marketing materials (creation and distribution), organizing economics tutoring materials and distributing them to tutors, maintaining bulletin boards, inventory of supplies, and other duties as assigned.
TRANSFERABLE SKILLS
- General office management skills including but not limited to organization, prioritization, effective communication with colleagues, and skills with Microsoft Office products.
- Experience and confidence working independently and creatively.
- Problem-solving and the confidence to ask questions and search for answers.

To be eligible for student employment, St. Thomas students must be degree seeking at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels.
