Emergency Department Director
Fantastic opportunity to join a mission-driven academic medical center and lead one of the region's busiest Emergency Departments. This leader will oversee clinical and operational performance for a high-volume, high-acuity emergency department while developing frontline leaders, strengthening culture, and driving strategic initiatives.
Highlights:
Lead an Emergency Department with approximately 128,000–146,000 annual visits.
Oversight of approximately 400 team members and 4 Nurse Managers.
Reports to the Associate Chief Nursing Officer, Emergency Services.
Opportunity to lead culture transformation, manager development, and operational improvement initiatives.
Academic teaching environment with strong physician and educator partnerships.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum 5 years of Emergency Department nursing leadership experience.
Demonstrated success leading through managers and developing leadership teams.
Experience with staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and operational oversight.
Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards.
Massachusetts RN license (or ability to obtain prior to start).
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC required.
