the healthcare organization. Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as
appropriate.Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders. Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare teamWithin scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal
supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
Will be trained as a relief Charge Nurse in the department and also provide Critical Response support to the med/surg department.

Unit Size: Level IV Trauma Center in Southwest Austin with 9-bed Emergency Department (Facility includes 12 inpatient medical/surgical beds, 4 ORs, and outpatient services). Staffing is typically 2-4 RNs depending on time of day.Care Scope: 24/7 emergency care for adult and pediatric acute injuries and life-threatening conditions (e.g., stroke, STEMI, fractures, concussions, minor illnesses). Patients requiring a higher level of care or intervention are quickly stabilized and transferred out to our network hospitals to receive the specialty care services they need.
