We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to work evening shifts in our Emergency Department. What You Will Do:
- Provide direct and indirect patient care, including vital signs, toileting, bathing, and feeding based on patient assignments.
- Serve as a safety companion for patients at risk, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Communicate effectively with patients and team members to deliver personalized care.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to respond to changing patient needs.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and uphold ethical standards and professional development goals.
- Demonstrate knowledge of normal growth and development while adapting to individual patient requirements.
Required Skills:
- Current New York State CNA certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of one year of patient care experience.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to maintain patient focus and deliver compassionate care.
- Successful completion of pre-employment health clearance.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience in emergency or hospital settings.
- Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations.
- Additional certifications related to patient safety or specialized care.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of hands-on patient care experience in a healthcare setting.
Other Requirements:
- Must be able to work 8-hour evening shifts starting May 1, 2026.
- Willingness to pass health screenings and meet all internal employment criteria.
- No travel required; local commuting preferred.
