The Emergency Department at Cobb Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an ED Supply Specialist!
This position is Full-Time. The hours for this position are Monday - Friday, 11 am - 7 pm. No Weekend and no call.
Job Summary:
The ED Supply Specialist position reports directly to the operational leader in the Emergency Department. Key responsibilities of the role include the responsibility for acquisition, storage and distribution of supplies and serves as a liaison between the emergency department and materials management. This position also monitors budget performance and participates in value analysis activities.
Impact of this role in the organization is huge! Keeping supplies stock and ready allow the clinical team take care of the patient. The patient is always at the center of everything we do!
Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Maintain inventory control for materials as appropriate.
Assumes responsibility for other duties assigned by management
Maintain records as required by regulatory agencies
Monitors expenditure trends including research, analysis and resolution of outliers
Performs other duties as assigned
Complies with all WellStar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.
Required Minimum Education:
High School Diploma / GED General.
Associates Business Administration/Management is preferred.
Required Minimum Experience:
Minimum 3 years experience in a hospital environment.
Basic knowledge of inventory.
Knowledge of distribution system.
Recent experience in Purchasing and Materials Management.
Required Minimum Skills:
Must be able to communicate and understand verbal and written English language and display a positive attitude.
Must have strong analytical and computer skills.
Must be able to work collaboratively with clinical staff and function under stress.
Basic keyboarding skills are required.
