Provide educational experiences in which students can be successful and meet goals and objectives outlined in the IEP;
Identify behaviors interfering with school performance and set behavioral goals;
Implement comprehensive behavior management system;
Monitor student academic and social behavior;
Maintain communication with parents;
Establish and maintain positive, productive working relations with other school and community professionals;
Attend case conference committee and annual case review meetings, as appropriate;
Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Individualized Educational Program;
The Madison Area Educational Special Services Unit views this as an expanding role. Unit needs, situations, and personnel changes may result in revision
of these duties.
