Job Role: Packaging Engineer
Location: Swedesboro, NJ (Onsite)
Duration: 4+ Months
Pay Range: $45-60/hr
Introduction
Under general supervision and direction, this role involves evaluating equipment features to determine the most cost-effective options, coordinating property controls, and ensuring equipment accuracy through calibration cycles. The position also involves logistics support analysis, hazardous materials handling, and packaging instructions compliance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with Engineering Drawings – ability to read and interpret
- Ability to utilize multiple systems – reviewing contract information and manipulating software information
- Industrial Packaging Experience – Aerospace or Automotive preferred
- Warehouse operations
- Decision making
- Prior work experience at client or in client's industry

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Evaluate equipment features and determine cost-effective options
- Coordinate property controls and enter equipment into calibration cycles
- Assist in equipment procurement and assess material handling equipment requirements
- Maximize efficiencies and implement improvements for cost-effective distribution and storage
- Provide logistics support analysis in accordance with laws
- Develop warehousing material flow, equipment layout, and capital budget
- Maintain employee awareness for hazardous materials and oversee training and compliance
- Evaluate, classify, and develop packaging instructions for hazardous materials
