Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled EDI Analyst to support Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) operations within a Business-to-Business (B2B) environment. This role is responsible for the implementation, mapping, monitoring, and supporting of EDI and cXML transactions with trading partners.
The EDI Analyst will work closely with internal operations teams, customers, and external vendors to onboard new partners, troubleshoot transaction issues, and ensure accurate and timely data exchange. This role requires hands-on experience with EDI standards, data mapping, and integration workflows. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring efficient and accurate data exchange with our B2B partners. South Florida will receive preference.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
EDI Operations & Support
Monitor daily EDI and cXML transactions to ensure successful processing, accuracy, and timeliness
Troubleshoot and resolve EDI transmission errors, data discrepancies, and integration issues
Coordinate with internal teams and third-party providers to resolve incidents and maintain SLA performance
EDI Mapping & Implementation
Develop, test, and maintain EDI and cXML maps and transformation logic for standard transactions (e.g., 850, 855, 856, 810, 997)
Analyze customer requirements and translate them into mapping specifications and integration workflows
Support onboarding of new trading partners, including setup, testing, validation, and go-live support
Collaborate with third-party EDI providers to configure mappings and connections
Customer & Vendor Collaboration
Act as a technical point of contact for customers during EDI implementations
Work with external EDI vendors (e.g., LogicBroker or similar) to manage priorities, troubleshoot issues, and improve performance
Participate in customer onboarding calls and provide technical guidance on EDI requirements and capabilities
Process Improvement & Documentation
Document EDI workflows, mapping specifications, trading partner setups, and troubleshooting procedures
Identify opportunities to improve EDI processes, reduce manual intervention, and increase automation
Maintain trading partner profiles and ensure compliance with internal standards and external requirements
Cross-Functional Coordination
Partner with IT, implementation, operations, customer service, and finance teams to support EDI-related initiatives
Assist in testing and validation of system changes impacting EDI and cXML integrations
Ensure alignment between EDI processes and upstream/downstream systems (ERP, 3PL, 3rd party EDI vendors, etc.)
Qualifications and Skills Required:
3+ years of hands-on experience in EDI or B2B integrations
Experience with NetSuite and webMethods is a desired
Experience working with standard EDI formats (ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and cXML transactions
Strong experience with EDI mapping and data transformation
Knowledge of EDI standards, such as ANSI X12, EDIFACT, and XML, as well as B2B protocols like AS2, FTP, and SFTP.
Strong understanding of B2B integration concepts, data mapping, and EDI transaction sets (e.g., 810, 850, 856, 997) across various industries.
Proficiency in troubleshooting EDI issues, interpreting error messages, and resolving data transmission failures.
Solid project management skills, including the ability to plan, prioritize, and execute multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Education Required:
Associate or bachelor's degree and/or 3+ years of relevant experience
