The Fountain Group is a national staffing firm and we are currently seeking an ­­­­­­­­eDiscovery Data Analyst – Corporate Legal Operations for a prominent client of ours.  This position is in North Chicago, IL 60064 Details for the position are as follows:

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to support an eDiscovery function within Corporate Legal Operations. This role will support the collection, processing, preservation, and management of electronic data associated with litigation and legal matters.

The ideal candidate has experience working in a technical or data-focused environment, is comfortable learning new software and systems, and brings exceptional attention to detail. Prior eDiscovery, litigation support, or legal industry experience is a plus, but is not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and support internal data processing platforms used for eDiscovery and litigation-related data.

• Process electronic data, including indexing, culling, filtering, load file creation, and data exports.

• Load and manage data within document review platforms and provide support for internal document review projects.

• Assist with the collection and preservation of electronic data potentially relevant to current or anticipated litigation.

• Coordinate with internal IT teams to collect data from various systems and remote data sources.

• Verify successful transfer of data into eDiscovery systems while ensuring accuracy and data integrity.

• Troubleshoot data collection, transfer, and processing issues and escalate concerns when appropriate.

• Manage multiple collection and processing requests while meeting litigation deadlines.

• Maintain litigation data archives in accordance with preservation and retention requirements.

• Support workflow and process improvements designed to increase the accuracy and efficiency of eDiscovery operations.

• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, IT teams, and external legal technology vendors.

• Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive legal and corporate information.

• Stay current on eDiscovery technology, processes, and industry best practices.

• Support additional eDiscovery and litigation-related projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or related field preferred.

• Experience working in a professional corporate and/or technical environment.

• Comfortable learning and working with new software platforms and technical tools.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately follow structured processes.

• Experience handling, processing, validating, or managing electronic data.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience working directly with internal or external stakeholders and providing a high level of client service.

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.

• Prior experience with eDiscovery, litigation support, legal technology, forensic data collection, document review, or legal hold processes is a plus, but not required.
