Candidates with close proximity to the Client Irvine office will be given priority consideration. If the role is converted into a full-time position, a hybrid schedule (in-office Tuesday through Thursday) will be required.[br style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"][br style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"][br style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"]Editor III[br style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"][br style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"]Job functions/responsibilities:[br style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"]• Edit and proofread copy for assigned and other brands as needed[br style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"]• Fact check annotated copy using provided references, ensuring acceptable sources are used[br style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"]• Collaborate and communicate with Editorial Director and team members to maintain quality and meet goals[br style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"]• Prioritize and manage workload, meetings, and various tasks to ensure all deliverables are met with excellence; ability to handle multiple jobs and prioritize as needed[br style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"]• Thoroughly understand assigned brands and product categories[br style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"]• Demonstrate a drive to ensure adherence to client and brand guidelines[br style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"]• Contribute ideas/feedback for improving process and minimizing error[br style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"]• Offer guidance and training to junior team members and freelancers to ensure integrity of editorial process[br style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"]• Proactively offer and provide help to others to ensure all work moves through the department efficiently[br style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"]• Create/maintain brand style guides and bibliographies in a timely manner[br style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"]• Understand and execute AMA style and varying editorial styles per brand needs[br style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"][br style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"]Qualifications:[br style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"]• Any College degree[br style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"]• 5 years medical editing and fact checking experience in a pharma ad agency/medical education environment (agency experience preferred)[br style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"]• Demonstrated ability to work independently with a motivated, self-starting attitude[br style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"]• Ability to creatively adapt to changing deadlines, providing recommendations as needed[br style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"]• Knowledge of current AMA style and FDA guidelines governing pharmaceutical products/devices[br style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"]• Solid ability to use MS Office (including Outlook, Teams, and Word), Adobe Acrobat, and/or ProofHQ
