    KENS 5, the TEGNA-owned CBS affiliate in San Antonio is looking for a full-time, temporary Video Editor to join our team for a period of ten weeks.

    The ideal candidate is proficient at creating captivating and shareable content for television, social media, and mobile platforms.

    You must be a self-starter who is technologically savvy and can work under tight deadlines.

    We are looking for individuals who possess a keen artistic eye, a deep understanding of editing and photography techniques, and a passion for storytelling.

    Responsibilities:

    • Use editing tools to create content for Newscast and Digital platforms.
    • Use creative production techniques such as graphics and new forms of media (viewer pictures, webcam interviews, etc.) to enhance stories.
    • Work closely with news producers, reporters, photojournalists and the digital team.

    Requirements:

    • BA/BS degree preferred
    • Knowledge of non-linear editing systems using Adobe Premiere and Photoshop
    • Interest in broadcast and digital news content
    • Organizational skills and the ability to work under deadline pressure
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Must be deadline-oriented, maintaining quality while staying on tight schedules
    • Must be able to work early mornings, nights and weekends
