About the work
At Plansee in Franklin, USA, we transform semi-finished tungsten and molybdenum into complex parts for high-tech applications. You’ll join a motivated team backed by the expertise of colleagues in 50 countries.
What you'll handle
- Operate, set up, and program/edit EDM equipment to produce both standard and non-standard components.
- Execute shop-floor programming; run multiple set-ups; perform in-place machining on fixtures when required.
- Study work orders, engineering drawings, materials, specs, reference planes, surface locations, and machining parameters; interpret GD&T accurately.
- Select, align, and secure fixtures and cutting tools using hand tools and tool length offset equipment.
Must bring
- Experienced Machinist background.
- Proficiency with blueprints and GD&T.
- Comfort with measuring equipment from hand tools to CMM and optical comparators.
- Ability to read and understand G and M codes.
- High attention to detail, effective communication, and a team-first mindset.
