EDM Machinist - Cleveland, OH - JOB 26-00505

Pay Range: $24.00 - $32.00/HR Full-time Permanent Position with Benefits

A premier Cleveland, Ohio area manufacture is hiring an experienced CNC EDM Machinist (Wire and Sinker). This is a permanent, full-time position in a high-precision, tight-tolerance tool and die/mold building environment. The EDM Machinist will be responsible for the end-to-end programming, operation, scheduling, and maintenance of both Wire and Sinker EDM equipment.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC Wire and Sinker EDM machines to produce highly intricate shapes with extreme precision.
• Manage and schedule workflow through the EDM department to meet tight production deadlines.
• Machine components within tight tolerances typical of high-quality mold building.
• Perform preventative maintenance on EDM equipment, including wire spooling, electrode management, and maintaining fluid/deionized water filtration systems.
• Assist with manual grinding and mold assembly tasks as needed to support the toolroom team.

Requirements

• Proven experience programming and operating CNC Wire EDM and/or CNC Sinker EDM machines.
• Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers).
• Experience working in a tight-tolerance mold building or tool & die shop setting.
• Hands-on experience with surface grinding and manual mold assembly is highly preferred.
• High School diploma, GED and Technical degree or Journeyman card in machining.
