Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled EDM Operator responsible for programming, setting up, and operating Wire EDM and Sinker EDM equipment in a precision manufacturing environment. This role requires the ability to produce complex, high-precision components with sub-micron tolerances, often working with exotic materials in a highly regulated industry.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically strong in CAD/CAM and EDM processes, and experienced in working within strict quality and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Program, set up, and operate Wire EDM and Sinker EDM machines
Achieve sub-micron tolerances on exotic and high-performance materials
Utilize CAD/CAM systems for programming and machining operations
Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications
Perform machine setup, including fixturing, tooling, and offsets
Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) to ensure part conformity
Troubleshoot EDM machines and machining processes to maintain quality and efficiency
Ensure compliance with ITAR and ISO 9001 standards and procedures
Maintain accurate documentation and adherence to quality requirements

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Experience programming, setting up, and operating Wire and Sinker EDM equipment
Strong understanding of machining tolerances and precision manufacturing
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T specifications
Experience using CAD/CAM software
Hands-on experience with machine setup, tooling, and offsets
Strong troubleshooting skills in EDM processes and equipment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with exotic materials
Familiarity with aerospace or defense manufacturing environments
Experience performing First Article Inspections (FAI)
