As the EDM Operator, you will be a vital part of our team, working on state-of-the-art equipment, and making a real difference with your expertise.
Responsibilities:
As an EDM Operator, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Operating and setting up Wire EDM machines to produce precision parts.
2. Using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, bore gauges, and height gauges to ensure the accuracy of work.
3. Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, process documentation, and work instructions to understand job requirements.
4. Performing regular maintenance tasks such as replacing wire, filters, dielectric fluid, and other EDM consumables as required.
5. Troubleshooting and resolving issues with the EDM process to maintain productivity and quality.
6. Collaborating with the engineering and quality assurance teams to improve processes and product quality.
7. Adhering to safety protocols and promoting a safe work environment.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, the candidate must possess the following qualifications:
1. Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in the manufacturing industry.
2. Minimum of three (3) years of machining experience.
3. Minimum of two (2) years of Wire EDM setup and operation experience is preferred.
4. Proficient in using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, indicators, bore gauges, and height gauges.
5. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, process documentation, and work instructions.
6. Experience in performing maintenance tasks such as replacing wire, filters, dielectric fluid, and other EDM consumables.
7. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.
8. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
