As a highly skilled Education Consultant, you will guide families through understanding their child's academic needs and recommend tailored programs that foster long-term success. Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to inbound inquiries via phone, email, and walk-ins, guiding families toward diagnostic assessments
- Conduct consultative conversations to identify academic gaps, confidence issues, and budget concerns
- Explain assessment results clearly and connect findings to personalized learning plans
- Present honest, flexible program options including phased or lighter commitments
- Build trust to encourage sustained investment in children’s education without pressure
- Maintain caring follow-up with families to reinforce trust and identify re-enrollment opportunities
- Track and report enrollment metrics to the Center Director
Community & Marketing Support
- Represent Sylvan at school events, PTA meetings, and community fairs
- Support seasonal campaigns like Back-to-School and SAT Prep Seminars
- Maintain relationships with local schools, PTAs, and community organizations
Qualifications & Success Factors
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, with background in education, counseling, or related fields
- Patient, natural listener skilled at building quick trust with families
- Organized with strong follow-through on outreach and CRM management
- Comfortable discussing education investment values without pressure
- Available for some evening and weekend hours
- Success measured by family satisfaction, consistent enrollment growth, and strong retention
What We Offer
- Competitive hourly rate of $18 – $25 based on experience
- Afternoon shift schedule: Monday to Thursday, 3:00 PM - 7:30pm & Saturdays, 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
- Growth potential with expanded hours and responsibilities as the center grows
