Job Details Job Location: NSC-Charleston Corps - CHARLESTON, SC 29407Salary Range: $18.00 - $18.87 hourlyJob Category: EducationFull Time Seasonal PositionKey Responsibilities Coordinate the education program and provide quality and effective services to participants in order to strive towards the vision, mission and goal of The Salvation Army Community Center.Plan programs for the Education Department, subject to the approval of the Executive Director.Assist in recruiting and training staff and volunteers.Promote and stimulate membership in the department and organize reading incentive programs and reading motivation.Make monthly statistical reports to the Executive Director.Work with Satellite Center of The Salvation Army Community Center After School Program.Other Responsibilities Evaluate the program of the department.Make initial visits to all schools represented at The Salvation Army Community Center.Work on a program for individual students with specific needs.Present the program to each teacher.Train helpers in tutoring skills.Check up on students and helpers on a regular basis and make necessary adjustments.Record and maintain data regarding school academics, behaviors, and attendance.What We Are Looking For Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree required in Business, Marketing, Social Sciences or Education, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides required knowledge, skills, and abilities.Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Ability to meet attendance requirements.Ability to read, write and communicate in English.Work is performed in an indoor and outdoor recreation environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather such as rain, cold, snow, heat or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.Equal Opportunity Employer: Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled#J-18808-Ljbffr
