Description
We are currently looking to hire 2 Education Coordinators for our AVID/TOPS Program! All applicants must have at least 2 years direct service experience working with youth/teens in a non profit organization, school district, or post-secondaryinstitution. A Bachelors Degree in Education, Social work etc. related field is preferred. Reliable transportation is required.
Must be able to start no later than July 27th, 2026 if chosen for position. Supervisors will assign work location.
AVID/TOPS is a high-intensity, in-school and out-of-school partnership between Madison Metropolitan School District (AVID) and the Boys and Girls Club of Dane County (TOPS) focused on supporting students to develop skills needed to be college and career ready. The Education Coordinator coordinates, organizes, and supports opportunities for students to increase their GPA and attendance, with the ultimate goal of high school graduation and college acceptance. Education Coordinators serve as a tutor coach, ensuring the implementation of the AVID tutorial model. Education Coordinators build relationships of supports with youth to include classroom community building, connection to resources, facilitation of college & career- readiness opportunities, chaperone field trips, support classroom guest speakers, and more. The Education Coordinator is also expected to be flexible and adaptable, taking on other duties assigned to support the overall objectives of the organization.
