Mid-sized education law firm with statewide practice representing school and community college districts seeks an attorney to join its Student and Labor, Employment & Personnel practice groups. If you are interested in joining a team that supports the education of students in California, we encourage you to apply.Candidates will be considered for the following DWK office (Hybrid): FresnoQualified candidates will have a minimum of three years of experience, including the below qualifications:Labor, employment and personnel experiencePrior experience conducting investigations and/or administrative hearingsLitigation and/or administrative process experience, including handling discovery and preparing pleadings; experience in mediations, arbitrations, and/or trials a plusSpecial education due process and student discipline experience preferredExcellent analytical, writing, research, and communication skillsFlexibility, initiative, and willingness to work on a broad variety of legal matters arising in representing public entitiesPublic entity representation is preferred but not required; and prior school district representation is a plusAdmission to the California State BarQualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with both California's Fair Chance Act (FCA) and local Fair Chance Ordinances (FCOs).The annual salary range the Firm reasonably expects to pay candidates for this position is $130,000 to $175,000. The final annual salary offered will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
