Education Outreach CoordinatorUTHealth Houston and Children's Learning Institute TSR Content and Innovation team is hiring an Education Outreach Coordinator to coordinate content development projects, track timelines and deliverables, facilitate communication among multiple stakeholders, and help ensure projects move forward efficiently. This position plays a key role in supporting the development of professional learning resources for early childhood educators and requires strong organizational, technical, and project coordination skills.Ideal candidates will have a bachelor's in education, early childhood education, or a related field with experience in early childhood education, preferably in a classroom. Strong project coordination, organization and time management skills are crucial. Excel, project tracking tools, and an interest in working with technology is preferred. Content development, curriculum, training, or educational program support experience preferred.Benefits100% paid medical premiums for full‑time employeesGenerous time off (holidays, preventative leave day, vacation and sick time – around 37–38 days per year)Longevity Pay (monthly payments after two years of service)Retirement/pension planFree financial and legal counselingFree mental health counseling servicesGym membership discounts and access to wellness programsEmployee discounts on entertainment, car rentals, cell phones, etc.Resources for child and elder carePosition SummaryDevelops and writes curriculum, reading research, and training for literacy and math development for the early child.Key AccountabilitiesWrites statewide curriculum for use in Pre‑kindergarten, elementary, and secondary schools.Designs presentations and trains teachers nationwide on current research and classroom instruction techniques.Translates current research into lessons for teachers; demonstrates model lessons in classrooms; provides ongoing side‑by‑side coaching.Travels to local, state, and national training sites to evaluate classroom instruction.Evaluates current school textbooks and provides feedback to differentiate, improve, and upgrade instructional techniques.Reviews national reading curriculums for Pre‑kindergarten, kindergarten, elementary, and secondary schools.Collects and reviews testing data from sites for research.Writes and directs classroom instructional video.Prepares executive summaries and reports upon completion of ongoing classroom site visits.Performs other duties as assigned.Certification and SkillsKnowledge of current reading research applications and experience presenting best practices in reading.Classroom teacher experience with supervision and coaching.Teaching certification with required endorsements for subject and level assigned by the State of Texas preferred.Minimum EducationBachelor's Degree required; Bachelor's in Early Childhood preferred.Master's Degree in Education preferred.Minimum Experience7 years of experience in teaching or curriculum writing required; may substitute equivalent years of education beyond the minimum education requirement.Physical RequirementsExerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.Security SensitiveThis position is security‑sensitive pursuant to Texas Education Code 51.215 and Texas Government Code 411.094, among others.
