Job Description

We are seeking a Community Education Specialist to develop and facilitate child abuse and domestic violence prevention programs throughout the Wiregrass area.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and present prevention programs in schools and community organizations.
  • Facilitate Erin’s Law, Blue Ribbon Week, Mandatory Reporting, and Multidisciplinary Team trainings.
  • Develop educational materials, workshops, and community outreach programs.
  • Build partnerships with schools, colleges, universities, and community agencies.
  • Assist with grants, budgets, reports, and program development.
  • Participate in community events, health fairs, and public speaking engagements.
  • Provide clinical intake/support as needed.
  • Maintain accurate program and activity records.
  • Work collaboratively with organizational leadership and staff.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Education, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree preferred in Education, Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of child sexual abuse and the judicial system preferred.
  • Strong communication and public speaking skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with community education, child abuse prevention, social services, or grant programs is a plus.
  • Must be flexible and committed to promoting child safety and prevention.
