We are seeking a Community Education Specialist to develop and facilitate child abuse and domestic violence prevention programs throughout the Wiregrass area.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and present prevention programs in schools and community organizations.
Facilitate Erin’s Law, Blue Ribbon Week, Mandatory Reporting, and Multidisciplinary Team trainings.
Develop educational materials, workshops, and community outreach programs.
Build partnerships with schools, colleges, universities, and community agencies.
Assist with grants, budgets, reports, and program development.
Participate in community events, health fairs, and public speaking engagements.
Provide clinical intake/support as needed.
Maintain accurate program and activity records.
Work collaboratively with organizational leadership and staff.
Work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Education, or a related field.
Master’s degree preferred in Education, Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
Knowledge of child sexual abuse and the judicial system preferred.
Strong communication and public speaking skills.
Proficient computer skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience with community education, child abuse prevention, social services, or grant programs is a plus.
Must be flexible and committed to promoting child safety and prevention.
