The Bridgewater-Raynham Regional School District is hiring Education Support Professionals (ESP) High School Academic Inclusion Setting for the 2026-2027 academic school year.
General Job Description:
The Education Support Professional supports and carries out instruction designed by general and special educators to meet the individual needs of high school students with or without disabilities in a calm, non-reactive, and respectful manner. The ESP is directly involved in assisting educators to promote student success within inclusive academic environments. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Supporting students in achieving IEP goals within general education classrooms, including core academic subjects such as math, science, English, and social studies.
Monitoring and documenting academic progress and behavioral data, with a focus on high school-level standards and benchmarks.
Regularly collaborating and communicating with general education teachers, special education teachers, counselors, and other service providers to ensure consistency and alignment of instructional strategies.
Reinforcing learning, study skills, organizational skills, and executive functioning strategies initially outlined by lead teachers.
Assisting students with note-taking, assignment completion, test accommodations, and use of assistive technology as appropriate.
Following detailed behavioral and educational accommodations and behavior intervention plans tailored to adolescent students.
Collecting and recording student data in collaboration with special education and content-area teachers to inform instruction and IEP reviews.
Reporting academic, social, and behavioral concerns to lead teachers and support teams promptly.
Motivating students using positive reinforcement, recognizing the developmental and social challenges of high school students.
Implementing de-escalation strategies to manage behavioral incidents or conflicts, prioritizing a safe and inclusive school environment.
Demonstrating understanding of adolescent developmental needs, confidentiality laws (such as FERPA), and maintaining professional boundaries with students, families, and staff.
Supporting student participation in inclusive extracurricular or academic activities when applicable.
Other duties as assigned to meet the dynamic needs of high school students in inclusive academic settings.
