The Kaukauna Area School District is seeking an Educational Assistant for English Language Learner (ELL) support at Tanner Early Learning Center starting with the 2026/2027 school year. The position is 36.25 hours weekly, Monday through Friday. The person chosen for this position will help students learn and create a positive classroom environment where every student can succeed. They will help students with schoolwork and support their social and emotional growth. Educational Assistants will work with students who have different learning needs. The candidate hired for this position will need to apply to Wisconsin DPI for a Special Education Program Aide License after the time of hire but before their start date. Responsibilities:
Work with students one-on-one or in small groups to help them learn
Support classroom expectations and make the classroom a positive place for learning
Work with teachers to create and use student learning plans
Keep track of how students are doing and share updates with teachers
Supervise students during times when they are not in class, like lunch or recess
Provide help to students based on their individual needs
Qualifications:
At least a high school diploma; having an associate degree is a plus
Strong communication and people skills
Able to work well with teachers and other school staff
Passion for helping students do their best
Experience working with elementary school-aged students is helpful but not required
