CESA 2 seeks an experienced Educational Audiologist to provide educational audiology services to students, evaluate students for audiology services as part of an IEP or 504 team, serve as a member of district IEP or 504 teams, and consult with school district staff and CESA 2 staff as needed.
Conduct comprehensive audiological evaluations, including hearing and tympanometry screenings, Functional Listening Evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and central auditory processing screening.
Implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and 504 plans for students with hearing loss, in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
Provide direct and indirect services to students, including amplification fitting and maintenance and troubleshooting, auditory training, classroom acoustics consultation, and assistive listening device (ALD) fitting and training.
Collaborate with teachers and staff to create inclusive learning environments and provide professional development on hearing loss and communication strategies.
Liaison and consult with clinical audiologists.
Advocate for students with hearing loss and their families, ensuring access to appropriate services and supports.
Maintain accurate and timely student records and documentation.
Participate in IEP meetings and other relevant meetings.
Stay current on best practices in educational audiology and participate in professional development activities.
Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience
Master's Degree or higher (AuD or PhD) in Audiology from an accredited university. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or equivalent. Wisconsin certification 822 (Educational Audiology). Minimum five years of experience as an Educational Audiologist.
