JOB TITLE:             Diagnostician Intern

HOUR STATUS:      Exempt

REPORTS TO:         Director of Special Education

PAY GRADE:           AP1 - 197 days

PRIMARY PURPOSE: As a Diagnostician Intern, you will work closely with our team of experienced diagnosticians to assist in the evaluation and assessment processes. This internship is an excellent opportunity for individuals pursuing a career in psychology, education, and assessment etc, who are eager to gain practical experience in diagnostic procedures and contribute to the development of effective assessment tools.

QUALIFICATIONS: Currently pursuing a degree in assessment, such as Educational Diagnostician or School Psychologist. Basic understanding of diagnostic assessment tools and methodologies is preferred. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take initiative. High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Assist in administering and scoring diagnostic assessments and tests under the supervision of experienced diagnosticians. Support the preparation of assessment reports and documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational standards. Observe and participate in diagnostic interviews and evaluations, gaining insights into diagnostic practices and methodologies. Help in the analysis of assessment data and contribute to the development of individualized intervention plans. Collaborate with other team members to review case files and discuss diagnostic findings and recommendations. Engage in professional development opportunities, including workshops and training sessions provided by the organization. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in handling sensitive information. Assist in report writing and interpreting test results with the oversight of a certified diagnostician.
