Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Multimedia Production Assistant supports the creation of instructional media assets for a variety of learning experiences. The role spans two complementary areas of work: instructional graphic and interactive media, and video and audio production.
Assist the Multimedia Specialist in producing instructional multimedia assets, which may include preparing graphics, iconography, and simple interactive or presentation elements under direction.
Assist the Instructional Media Producer in capturing video content, which may include operating cameras, microphones, and lighting equipment during recording sessions.
Manage and maintain recording studios, ensuring equipment is set up and functioning properly, and help with setup and teardown for recording sessions.
Participate in post-production tasks, including video and audio editing, captioning, and ensuring content quality and accessibility.
Help manage and organize multimedia assets within the team''s digital asset management system.
Collaborate with the instructional design team to understand the project requirements and objectives.
Required Qualifications
A qualified candidate should bring a strong interest in multimedia production to excel in this role. The ability to learn and adapt to new software and equipment is essential for growth and success. The candidate should also meet these qualifications:
Strong organizational skills to maintain an efficient studio environment and keep media assets well-ordered.
Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with the instructional design team and other colleagues.
Time management and multitasking abilities to meet project deadlines across multiple types of projects.
Detail-oriented approach, especially during post-production and accessibility work.
Adaptability to a fast-paced and evolving multimedia production environment.
Required EducationMust be enrolled as a student at Belmont University. Required ExperienceNo experience required.
