Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and other forms of sign language interpretation
- Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) score or relevant national certification strongly preferred
- Prior experience interpreting in K-12 schools or educational environments
- Excellent listening, memory, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to adapt signing style to meet students' individual needs
- An understanding of confidentiality, sensitivity, and professionalism
Primary Responsibilities:- Deliver real-time sign language interpretation between students, teachers, and staff in various school settings
- Accurately convey instructional materials, classroom dialogue, and extracurricular activities
- Collaborate with educational teams to tailor support and document services provided
