The Oregon School District is seeking an educational interpreter needed to facilitate communication between DHH students and hearing peers, classroom teachers, and other school staff.
- The interpreter will tutor the DHH students and teach sign to the student''s hearing community.
- Must be able to provide expressive and voice interpreting for direct instruction within the school, prepare for and tutor classroom content and teach new sign vocabulary.
- Must be able to support all student needs and in all tasks throughout the day.
- Must be comfortable working with a larger team in a collaborative manner to support student needs.
- Must be skilled and able to work with students with complex needs (examples: health, multimodal communicator).
- Must be patient, flexible and adaptable to facilitate communication.
