GTSC and its Global Sciences and Technology (GST) business unit seeks an Educational Outreach Specialist (III) <\/b>will lead the operations of the NOAA Outreach Center including maintaining over 100 collections of major education and outreach products from across the Agency; designing and developing an estimated 3 to 5 new education and outreach products, on an annual basis, to fill gaps and respond to audience needs; disseminating such products to educators, students, and the public; responding to general public inquiries about NOAA and NOAA education; and providing guidance and expert advice to NOAA staff engaged in public outreach activities.<\/span>

<\/p>
Primary Duties:<\/b><\/span>
<\/p>
<\/p>
• Plan, coordinate, and support NOAA education participation in education conferences, meetings, workshops, civic events, etc. Coordinate with internal and external partners as needed.<\/span>
<\/div>
• Designs and develops educational outreach materials and publications.<\/span>
<\/div>
• Assists with the planning and development of educational exhibits for NOAA booths in educational conferences.<\/span>
<\/div>
• Assists with the development and coordination of products and services designed to promote education programs and efforts of NOAA's Office of Education and the NOAA education community.<\/span>
<\/div>
• Coordinates with educational outreach professionals across NOAA to ensure consistency of approach and share best practices and lessons learned<\/span>
<\/div>

Required Education/Experience/Skills:<\/b><\/span>
<\/p>
• Bachelor's degree in education, communications, or related fields.<\/span>
<\/p>
• Minimum of 4 to 6 years of work experience.<\/span>
<\/p>
