POSITION: Paraprofessional Employment Opportunity

START DATE: 08/25/26

Shared Services has an opening for a paraprofessional at the Barkhamsted Elementary School- this position is full time, Monday-Friday, 6.5 hours per day and follows the school year calendar.

Interested candidates must have the following qualifications:

• Associates Degree or equivalent or successful completion of para-pro test
• Experience working within the school setting preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues and under the supervision of program teacher
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding assigned students.
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Prior experience working with special needs students preferred
• Professional demeanor
