POSITION: Paraeducator (BEST Program)

LOCATION OF ASSIGNMENT: Memorial Elementary School

ANTICIPATED STARTING DATE: August 2026

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: Works in conjunction with certified staff to support the individual needs of students. Paraeducator staff will work in conjunction with the Assistant Principal, School Social Worker, and School Psychologist to support students who may exhibit challenging behaviors due to lacking the skills of flexibility, adaptability, frustration tolerance, and problem solving.

Pay Rate: $20.48-$27.91 depending on experience

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability and desire to work with students with emotional and behavior concerns
  • Knowledge of math, reading and writing instruction.
  • Ability to document student's progress, collect and maintain student data
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to be a team player.
  • Two year associates degree or equivalent
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find acceptable and appropriate
