Job Description:

Position: Paraeducator-Next Step

Description: The Administration is seeking persons qualified by education and experience to carry out the duties assigned to the position and in general, to establish and maintain a high level of standards of excellence in the Vernon Public Schools. This position is in our Next STEP program. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Assisting students with special needs
• Assisting the teacher in daily classroom activities
• Helping special needs students with personal care, health, and safety
• Serve as a job coach in vocational settings

Salary and Benefits: The salary range for the 26-27 school year is per contract with a competitive benefits package. Please see the attached contract for details. Full-time position 32.5 hrs/week.

Start date: August 25, 2026
