POSITION: Paraprofessionals - Preschool

START DATE: August 18, 2026

Shared Services has openings for paraprofessionals to work in our preschool program located at the Barkhamsted Elementary School. The position is

Monday-Friday, 8:30-3:30 and follows the school calendar.

Interested candidates must have the following qualifications:

• Associates Degree or equivalent or successful completion of ParaPro Assessment
• Experience working within the school setting preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues and under the supervision of program teacher
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding assigned students.
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Prior experience working with special needs students preferred
• Professional demeanor
