POSITION: PES Math Interventionist Paraeducator

• Full-Time: 35 hours per week

Putnam Elementary School is seeking a caring, flexible, and dependable individual to join our team as a full-time Math Paraeducator. This position plays a key role in supporting students in developing foundational math skills by providing targeted small group and individual assistance, reinforcing classroom instruction, and encouraging a positive attitude toward learning. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to helping young learners succeed, collaborate closely with teachers, and foster an inclusive, supportive environment where all students can build confidence and grow in their mathematical abilities. MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Instructional Support: Provide individual and small group math instruction and intervention under the direction of certified teaching staff.
• Skill Development: Reinforce core mathematical concepts and help students build foundational math skills and confidence.
• Classroom Collaboration: Work closely with teachers to support classroom instruction, adapt activities, and monitor student progress.
• Positive Learning Environment: Foster an inclusive, encouraging, and structured environment that supports student achievement.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Credentialing: Successful completion of the ParaPro/ParaPathways Assessment OR at least 60 college credits (2 years) from an accredited institution.
• Experience: Experience working in a school system preferred; experience supporting math instruction or intervention programs preferred.
• Skills: Ability to work effectively with elementary students, demonstrate patience and empathy, and take direction from certified staff.

START DATE: Immediate Opening

RATE OF PAY: $20.36 - $22.50 per hour (based on contractual requirements)
