Educational Paraprofessional Special Education Paraeducator (Learning Strategies)

Job Description:

Under general supervision, assists the classroom teacher in the Learning Strategies program by performing a variety of tasks relating to the instructional, behavioral, and personal assistance needs of students.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED and one of the following:

• Associates degree; or

• Minimum of 60 college credits; or

• Passing score on the ParaPathways Assessment

• Successful experience working with children preferred, but training will be provided

• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply

Position Details:

• Start Date: August 19, 2026
• 10-month, school-year position
• 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM with a paid lunch (7.0 paid hours per day)
• Hourly wage in accordance with the Paraeducators collective bargaining agreement
• Sick and Personal time
• Eligible for enrollment in non-certified pension plan
• Qualifies for health/dental benefits
