Job Summary

Special Educator, known as an Education Specialist, is a full-time position that reports to the Principal. The Education Specialist will work with a school site and will be responsible for managing the IEP caseload for students who require special education services as outlined in their IEPs. The role of the Education Specialist is to improve student outcomes through targeted academic and behavioral support.

The following attachments are required to be considered for this position: - Resume - Letter of Introduction - Three (3) current letters of recommendation - Proof of valid California Educational Specialist credential with Mild/Moderate authorization - Copy of unofficial transcripts Incomplete applications will not be reviewed. Upon offer of employment, the following will be required, at the District''s expense: - Negative TB Test - Successful DOJ fingerprint/screening - Pre-employment Physical - Negative Drug Screen Employee-only District benefits are available to the selected candidate at no cost. BUSD will consider a university-sponsored intern credential and county-issued emergency credential, if necessary.
