Educational Support Paraprofessional- 4K

We are a Public Charter school with a Montessori and nature-based philosophy, and emphasis on holistic, hands-on learning!

Play an integral role in our 4k classroom studio as Educational Support Paraprofessional for the 2026-2027 school year (anticipated start date August 26th, 2026). In this role you will play a vital role in our studios and work directly with students.

Our Education Support Paraprofessionals work with our teachers and students in the Montessori studio and support classroom coverage as a substitute teacher when needed. Hours for this role are Monday through Friday 7:45am-3:15pm, which is approximately 35 hours per week.

In this role you will assist and guide students cohesively with the Montessori Methodology. Our Educational Support Paraprofessionals will be expected to push in with students as much as possible, guiding them alongside their peers and often engaging with other students to integrate services seamlessly within each child's studio (classroom).

Duties

• Providing one-on-one instruction
• Supporting teachers in daily classroom expectations and needs
• Supporting students in Montessori academic goals
• Guiding students in regulating emotions
• Guiding students in grace and courtesy
• Supporting Special Education Plans
• Conducting student assessments upon request
• Providing educational observations to the lead teachers
• Providing timely feedback to students
• Collaborating and leveraging peer educators
• Adapting teaching methods and learning paths for each student
• Fostering a love of learning
• Maintaining a clean and purposeful environment
• Supporting students in a kind and respectful way
• Assisting Students to develop & structure student-led conferences
• Maintaining a safe and collaborative studio atmosphere
• Acting as a good role model in attitude, speech, and actions
• Leading/coordinating speech services
• Assisting with daily school duties
• Overseeing Lunch, Recess, and/or Pick up duties

Qualifications

• A substitute license is required to be in process at time of offer
• 2-years of experience in Education
• Montessori Credential is a plus
• Experience teaching through the Montessori Method is a plus
